Football Manager Classic 2014 Will Be Transferring To Vita In April

It’s been quite a while since we’ve heard anything about Football Manager Classic 2014 for Vita since it’s initial announcement back in August. What we know so far about the game is that it will feature the 3D match engine, hundreds of different clubs to manage across various leagues, and a whole host of players to manage and sign. What we didn’t know was a release time, until now. Taking to Twitter Miles Jacobson announced the game will release in April.

As the tweet says more information will be announced at some point next week, likely to be the concrete date of launch and other release details like pricing. I’m a huge fan of Football Manager and have spent many hours building teams and watching them succeed or fail. I’ll be interested to see how the game plays on Vita.

  1. Well that’s very late in the season, so I hope they already have plans for on how to update the game with transfers and other changes, when the summer has passed.

  2. Yay finally a release date which is far too late. As Erroneus says we want kit and player patches for next season or a really cheap price.

  3. They’d have to sell this pretty cheap for me to purchase this late in the season. Or, as mentioned previously offer a healthy discount on next seasons. On the plus side i was actually thinking that they were struggling with the Vita version so it’s good news that the game is being released.

  4. I tweeted Miles Jacobson to hear about a patch and he confirms there will not be a patch :(

That’s a pretty strange call and as it’s already clear now, it’s going to cost them sales, unless it’s very cheap.

  5. Yeah, not buying it. Not this late. They should have waited by now, or included next season.

    • I fear this will hurt them on sales, which could lead to disappointing sale, which could kill the series on Vita.

I hope it isn’t so and that Sigames are making a huge mistake with this release, 6 weeks before season end.

      • Hopefully they’ve expected this and will still release 2015 in Octoberish nonetheless.

  6. I’m getting it either way. Been looking forward to a bit of FM for ages. Wonder why it’s not coming to the bigger consoles??
