Anthony Pettis & José Aldo Go Toe To Toe In New EA UFC Gameplay Trailer

EA has just released a new gameplay trailer for EA UFC showing a full round between current UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis, and his potential upcoming challenger  José Aldo. While the match is yet to take place in reality, due to various reasons, the trailer above shows what could happen in the first round of the fight. It looks astonishingly close to reality so the graphics shouldn’t be a concern when the game launches.

EA has put its own mark on proceedings by way of the stamina bar being similar to that found in the Fight Night series, as well as the MMA game from a few years back. Other than that the gameplay looks similar in execution to that of the previous three titles that were published by THQ, with improved movement, reactions, and contact of moves. As a fan of the previous games in the franchise, and the sport, I’m really curious to really see how EA handle the UFC license.

EA UFC will be releasing June 17th on PS4 and Xbox One.

  1. Looks amazing, though suffers from the common problem of mistimed commentary. Hopefully it’ll play well!

  2. nice, but the animations look abit too fast, slow them down abit and it’ll be more realistic

    • That was my impression also. I hope the video was just sped up a bit, otherwise the movements look bizarre.
