Homefront: The Revolution Has Been Delayed Until 2016

The convoluted story of the Homefront sequel has taken another twist as Deep Silver have announced the game will now arrive on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Mac, as well as Windows and Linux PC sometime during  2016.

The game is currently being developed by Nottingham based Dambuster Studios who were formed out of the smoking wreckage of Crytek UK who in turn were formed out the remnants of Free Radical Design.

Homefront: The Revolution was part of the THQ empire before it collapsed before passing to Crytek, who then had their own financial wobbles and sold the game to Deep Silver. It’s a bit like a video game version of pass the parcel that has lasted three years.

“We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this,” said Dr. Klemens Kundratitz, CEO Deep Silver. “You can expect to hear more about the game later this year.”

  1. “We are giving the team every opportunity to turn Homefront: The Revolution into a best-selling title, and have set a 2016 release date to provide them the time they need to achieve this,” – Top down planning, an excellent idea. In all my years of planning out IT projects I’ve seen this approach work every single time, delivering on time, within budget and to agreed quality. This approach is guaranteed! Nice work Dr Kundratitz.
