Jeremy Irons & Brendan Gleeson Confirmed As Part Of Assassin’s Creed Movie Cast

Two new cast members for the Assassin’s Creed movie have been announced, with both Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson joining Michael Fassbender & Marion Cotillard. The two new actors will both be playing father figures, with Irons taking the role of Cotillard’s character’s father and Gleeson doing the same for Fassbender’s character.

Last month information about Fassbender’s character was revealed, with confirmation he would be playing a brand new assassin called Aquilar and be running around 15th century Spain. At the same time Fassbender will be playing Aquilar’s descendant called Callum Lynch. Information about Marion Cotillard’s character isn’t yet known, though with she could be a member of the Templar Order and Aquilar’s enemy.

Filming for the Assassin’s Creed movie began in September with a release date set for 2016.
