A few months ago NetherRealm announced that Mortal Kombat X would be receiving a second wave of DLC, Kombat Pack 2, some time in early 2016 – and today it seems the details regarding the kombatants in said pack have been revealed.
In what appears to be a case of ‘accidental early upload syndrome’ ahead of The Game Awards later today, Warner posted, and quickly pulled, a video to YouTube detailing four new characters.
Today Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed the four new playable characters coming to Mortal Kombat X in Kombat Pack 2 as downloadable content (DLC) in the first quarter of 2016.
The new guest characters include Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre horror film series and the Xenomorph from the classic sci-fi horror film franchise Alien.
Additional characters include classic Mortal Kombat characters Bo Rai Cho, master of the drunken fist, and series favourites Cyrax, Sektor and Robot Smoke in the form of new Kombatant, Tri-Borg.
We expect further details (and the trailer to re-appear) rather soon.
Update: So it didn’t turn up at The Game Awards, but regardless, the trailer has been re-uploaded by Warner Bros.
