News Snatch: Halo 5, Fire Emblem: Fates, And Squishable Boobs

The Witcher 2 seems to be free on Xbox 360!

It’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights, as once again News Snatch returns to feed you bits of news in scrummy bite size portions. There’s lovely. First up, a trailer for Halo 5‘s Infinity’s Armory, featuring more maps, weapons, and armour for the multiplayer portion of the game.

Voting is now open for the 2016 Classic FM Hall of Fame which regularly features scores from video games. Final Fantasy, Halo, Call of Duty, Assassin’s Creed, The Elder Scrolls, The Legend of Zelda, Kingdom Hearts and World of Warcraft are already in the running.

Mortal Kombat XL was announced yesterday but only for Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Mortal Kombat community manager Tyler Lansdown has revealed that there will be no PC version, and PC gamers will not be getting Kombat Pack 2 either.

A rather gory live action Tomb Raider short film, which apperently has been approved by Crystal Dynamics.

Now then, let’s have a little chat. This is a new trailer for Dead or Alive Xtreme 3, the game that will not be coming to the west as the publishers don’t want to deal with all the accusations of sexism and being politically incorrect.

Xtreme 3 will ship with a feature on the PS4 that allows you lift skirts and squish boobs using the touch pad, which you can see in the gallery below.

Touching ladies inappropriately is wrong. Lifting skirts and squishing their boobs is wrong. However, just mere seconds ago, just a mouse scroll above this, you watched Lara Croft go berserk and murder ten men in a graphic fashion and probably didn’t even bat an eye lid.

So who has the weird morals? The Japanese for their boob squishing, or us for being completely desensitised to mass murder?

One Japanese game that is being amended when it hits these shores is Fire Emblem: Fates from Nintendo. The original version features Soleil, a character is attracted to women and gets flustered when they are around.

If paired with a male protagonist, the male will then pour “magic powder” in her drink, which makes her see women as men, and men as women. She then falls in love with the male (now female) character she is paired with, and when the magic wears off she propose to the male character.

Some have seen this as both drugging (the character is unware of the magic), and ‘conversion’ of a lesbian character in to a straight one.

“In the version of the game that ships in the U.S. and Europe, there is no expression which might be considered as gay conversion or drugging that occurs between characters,” a Nintendo representative told NintendoWorldReport.

Sassy David Hayter! Could he be referencing his removal from Metal Gear Solid V and his subsequent replacement, Kiefer Sutherland?

This is NeuroVoider, an “action-packed, top-down, twin-stick shooter featuring RPG mechanics,” which is coming to PS4.

Filming on the Assassin’s Creed movie, which will almost certainly not feature gay conversions and squishable bosoms, has wrapped. The flick hits the cinemas this December.

More assassins, as The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings seems to be free on Xbox 360 via the Xbox Marketplace. We’ve not had word of any promotion so it may be a glitch, so grab it quick from this link.

And Finally, three short live action films set in the world of The Division.

  1. Might be worth pointing out that The Witcher 2 appears to only be free for the US. The game doesn’t even appear on the Xbox Marketplace in the UK.

    • Nope, completely free for me and available on the store (UK). It’s a promotion MS are doing, not sure how long it’s on for.

      • Interesting – thanks for that. When I try downloading the game from the above link, I get a message saying that the offer is not available in my region, and I couldn’t find it on the UK store. I’m at work at the moment, so I’ll give it another go at home.

      • Getting back home, I can see what you mean now. The UK store has the Witcher 2, but when clicked upon it doesn’t offer a game download of any kind, whereas the US store does. Nevertheless MS have confirmed the offer is available for several regions including the UK and it runs up until February 5th, so maybe give it a day for them get the issue fixed. Annoying we still can’t get 360 games through the XB1 section of the store without it saying ‘Bundle Only’ and leading nowhere.

      • Working now. :)

  2. Team ninja have said the boob & skirt motion is due to a “mysterious wind” so basically she’s just let out a truly thunderous fart which lifted her skirt up and shook her boobs! Nothing weird about that at all.

  3. Let start of by saying I finish MGS5 that why it late at night, but what a poor ending but I knew something was up the way you pick a face at the beginning at the hospital.

Zero was not seen but apparently it on the tapes. Rumours abound that a chapter 3 of MGS5 Is possible I can’t see it myself happening.

You said touching women is wrong, touching lolis is wrong too, & apparently you can’t have gay characters in games too now that wrong too. The problem is not enough gay characters in games not diversity enough says the pressure groups, oh we sick of sexual images of women & lolis.

Is it you can’t have a gay women or a gay men or both Makes me believe that everything under the sun they don’t like & bitch for the sake of it.

Because ninty is censoring another game that thinks it’s problematic however they are hypocrites as they let senran on a ninty platform 3ds.

  4. Witcher being free is something to do with Microsoft announcing the next ten backwards compatible games for XboxOne this January. Something I didn’t read on Thesixthaxis.
