Absolver Fights Onto PS4 And PC On 29th August

From its pitch alone, Absolver is a game worth keeping an eye on, putting you in the role of a Prospect who’s trying to join the ranks of the Absolvers who fight to keep the world in balance. It’s a game that, rather ambitiously for an indie game, tries to tackle both PvE encounters as well as offering up PvP arenas to fight other players.

Today, Sloclap and publisher Devolver Digital have announced that the game is coming to PS4 and PC on 29th August.

They’ve also released a new trailer which focuses on the combat and the different styles of fighting available to you:

Starting off in the game you’ll be able to pick from three combat styles, before evolving it or replacing it with the others that are waiting to be discovered in the game. Those starting three are:

  • Kahlt Method – Absorb hits without being stunned or pushed back, and regain lost health with every successful counter attack.
  • Forsaken – Balanced and powerful, prospects can parry enemy attacks and briefly stun opponents.
  • Windfall – Greater dexterity and will, prospects can avoid enemy attacks leaving them open to a powerful counter attack.

All of this can then be personalised in the Combat Deck, a kind of inventory of attacks, blending four stances and their variety of different attacks.
