Can’t say I’ve seen any of either format up here in Glasgow, but apparently Woolworths have been trialling both HD-DVD and Blu-Ray in their larger stores. Despite sales of both being weak there, they’ve seen a marked increase in Blu-Ray sales since the PS3 launch, and have thus dropped HD-DVD.
The rollout of Blu-Ray films across it’s medium to larger stores will now commence. Hopefully we’ll see better prices than the ridiculous ones in HMV and Virgin.
