So we know how many have been killed but we don’t want to stop there. Valve have announced at X10 that more zombies will be tossed our way via downloadable content for instalments of the Left 4 Dead series on both Xbox 360 and PC.
Left 4 Dead 2’s DLC, named The Passing, will feature the original four characters in a non-playable form. Instead they will aid the more recent survivors in the new campaign, which is set in Georgia.
But how did the original four get to Georgia, you ask? Well Valve have that covered too. Left 4 Dead 1 will also be getting some extra content explaining their journey. Unfortunately, it will not be compatible with the second game. Expect it sometime after The Passing and the digital comic, which will help to bridge the gap too.
Not content with all that, Valve have added new arenas for Survival, Versus and Scavenge modes, and a new co-op challenge mode all within The Passing. A new infected, called the Fallen Survivor, is set to feature and when killed, it will drop a random item.
Expect The Passing sometime late in March.
