Outed by future-revealing ESRB, it looks like Q-Games’ first and somewhat overlooked PixelJunk offering, Racers, is either getting a sequel or (and more likely) an Encore treatment.
Entitled PixelJunk Racers 2nd Lap, the entry in the ESRB database is remarkably bare. Considering the game has already been rated by the board, we’re thinking this is just more evidence that Racers is merely getting more content and a re-release rather than a bone fide sequel.
Compared to the other PixelJunk games – Monster, Eden and the most-excellent Shooter – Racers falls a little short. That’s not to say it’s not an enjoyable experience – let’s just hope the new edition makes it even more so.
