In a press release issued this morning, Sony have listed all the first and third party titles currently locked for PlayStation Move support. There’s some obvious, known ones like Sorcery, SingStar Dance and SOCOM 4 but there’s at least one in there that Sony didn’t really focus on last night: Heavy Rain.
Yep, listed in amongst the others is what appears to be a special edition version of Quantic Dream’s unique, challenging adventure.Â
It’s listed simply as Heavy Rain Move Edition but we’re told it’s actually going to be a free patch, that’s released in October this year, which is a pleasant surprise and sure to be one of the most interesting uses of the Move controller.

My missus will love this, she is too cack handed to use an analogue stick but this game is right up her street, and she loves flailing her arms!

They mentioned it during the press conference as one of the games that would be patched for Move this year.

This is quite an interesting prospect as I found a lot of the pad inputs for the smaller, relatively inconsequential actions, detrimental to my suspension of disbelief.

I looks a lot like just waving the controller around like a madman. The actions didn’t look very well represented on screen. I know it’s only a patch but I was still expecting more.

Can’t wait for this, in my first play through i thought this game would really benefit from motion control. For me the best thing about the Sony Presentation, call me crazy.

Still haven’t played this yet. Might just wait to get Move first.
