As E3 wound down towards its close yesterday the lonely figure of Peter Molyneux could be seen wandering the halls of the L.A. Convention Center calling out the name Milo.1

To those few errant souls from lesser video game blog sites still hoping to complete their quests for goody bags or gain a snap of them posing near a booth babe so they can prove they were once near an attractive woman, Peter was handing out refreshments for their long journeys home.2

We approached Kate for comment3 on the whereabouts of Milo as she had last been seen with the boy at the end of a wooden lakeside pier.  “No, I absolutely did not push that little brat into the lake after filling his pockets with stones”, she said.4

Funny thing is, we never said anything to her about stones…5

  2. I read somewhere that Microsoft had been suggest Milo may never see a release and the technology will be used for something else when Molyneux creates something he feels is worth releasing.

    Something tells me Kinect has turned out to be quite what MS thought it would be or tried to make people believe it would be.

    • i guess you mean hasn’t, and i would agree 100%! i cant believe MS allowed this ‘Natal Project’ to be more than just a project?!?!

      The only success it can possibly have is if MS blind side the unknowing public with lots of adverts, mainly with people mimicking games (last years E3 videos revamped). Get early hype sales, then let it gather dust in the stores or peoples attics along with the old EyeToys

  7. Milo doesn’t exist, he never did, as soon as Microsoft realised the cost of having a developer bundled with Kinect to sit in the corner of the room and type out the appropriate responses the project was abandoned!!!

    Seriously though, I actually took it to mean Milo had morphed into a Tiger – the Tiger seems to use a very similar approach to Milo but being a Tiger needs none of the advanced Artificial Intelligence that Milo needed, which was frankly ludicrous for Microsoft to demonstrate in the first place…

        Thing is with all these motion controls, they are a good idea, but when i want to play a game, 9/10 i just want to relax, not move about and shout
