ModNation Racers is a great game, but for everyone that’s just a little bit bored gazing upon the wonderfully named Jimmy Mango on the game’s loading screens (look out for him) can rejoice now, there’s a patch coming next week that’s going to solve all your problems.
According to IGN, the first fix will be to the load times, which, according to Sony, will be reduced by up to 50%. But that’s not all, with United Front Games acknowledging that the “computerized bastards” (IGN’s words) were a little tough, and are introducing a casual difficulty level.
What else? How about the ability to invite friends into XP? Done. Removal of the completely pointless ‘online room’ that sits inbetween races? Done. Network fixes to reduce disconnections? Done. Tweaks to a few of the tougher challenges? Done.
Sounds like one hell of a patch, doesn’t it?
Thanks, ProjectJay.

They are getting rid of the region lock but are not going to do it until they are sure online wont suffer.

The load times have put me off playing this awesome game. Hopefully I’ll get back into it after this.

It’s put me off buying it. This could swing it though!

I’ve wanted to get it for a while now but the load times and online have been putting me off, hopefully though, United Front Games will continue to enhance the game as much as possible.

Wow £18 is a good deal
May work out to be a hassle getting it at £18 now though.. most of them look like they’re going for a little more now
I might actually have a look at what ebay have to offer now game wise and hopefully pick myself up a bargain ;)
