So you know the story, Pachter says Activision will make Black Ops multi-player a premium feature in some form, Activision and Treyarch deny everything about it. Swings and roundabouts. Imagine my surprise when reading an item on THQ’s plans to tackle pre-owned games (which we covered here) that MCV writer Ben Parfitt slipped this little bombshell in to the article.
MCV has been lead to believe that Activision IS preparing to announce a premium multi player component for Call of Duty: Black Ops, and that the announcement could be made by next month.
This is not the first time MCV have sneaked out by hiding it in another article, they casually let slip about the PSPGo back in May last year and some eagle eyed TSA reader picked up on it. As I pointed out back then, ‘MCV is a business site, they don’t make crap up.’
Let’s wait for official confirmation before we completely freak out though, shall we?

I better you will have to pay a monthly fee for the video feature as that is something that will get quiet a number of people paying that fee

I might still be intereseted in the single player if I can get the game cheap enough, prefer Treyarch’s single player to their on line offerings anyway.

I’m pretty sure MW2 will be last COD title I’ll buy. I never bought the Treyarch games anyhow, & since COD is the only Activision franchise I bothered with, Kotick won’t get another penny from me.
Will be looking out for the new game from Respawn instead.

COD+?
You’ll pay nothing for your existing COD play, but extras will be given to those you do pay, ala PS+?

What’s the point of linking the Source Link to a random page on your on site..?
Seen this done a few time on here now and it’s damn annoying, if your going to quote a source make sure your link actually goes to said source.
Tuffcub
My fault. Fixded.
Forrest_01
Is it always your fault TC?? Are you the random link thief?!?!
Tuffcub
No. It’s usually Dan. He takes the links home and licks them.

Bet they say it’s free to play online.
But if you want xp and ranks etc, that’ll cost ya lol

Total facepalm to COD fans… Grrrrr at you Activision!
*Shakes fist angrily!*
ProjectJAY
wasn’t going to buy the game anyway so long as Bobby Kotick still works at Activision.

Whatever they do, people will pay. How much we have to pay they are probably deliberating as I type this. However I shall probably sit this years CoD out (unless I receive as a gift), instead inputting my “free-time”, into some other games. That is until I upgrade enough to be able to play StarCraft II.
