Following yesterday’s announcement, THQ Digital have released the first trailer for the upcoming PSN and XBLA title Red Faction: Battlegrounds.
As we reported yesterday, Battlegrounds is a top-down vehicle combat digital download title due for release before the end of the year. The trailer confirms that the series’ trademark mechs will be joining the tanks, rovers and other vehicles in the game, and that it will be set (at least in part) on the surface of Mars, as opposed to the upcoming Armageddon’s subterraenean action.

This looks good, if we can play split-screen online (that’s 2 people playing the game in split-screen on 1 console while being online and playing with other people) then this could be a great game. Sony should make this a free + title.
