The reaction to the last WRC 2010 post wasn’t exactly one of glowing praise. Never-the-less Black Bean is still out to convince you that their upcoming game is worth your hard earned coins.
On October 8th an additional cars package will be available to download, featuring a selection of the biggest and best from the legendary Group B era;
- Peugeot 205 T 16
- Lancia Delta S4
- Ford RS200
- Citroën BX4 TC
- Renault R5 Maxi Turbo
Each of these cars will have two different liveries. This add-on will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 through Xbox Live and PSN respectively, for 400 points and 4,99 Euros.

As a large Rally fan… This doesn’t interest me so much.. Classic rally cars would have been a must buy, though… Just want to drive as Kimi Raikkonen!
Spotter5
Looks like I didn’t read the article properly -_-
Ehh, Lancia Delta is the sex..

It seems a bit iffy announcing DLC cars when your game’s not even out yet, and even worse when the scheduled drop date is launch day.
I mean, why not just put them on the disc and be done with it? If you’re going to have them out and ready on day one, then there’s no reason for leaving them off the disc in thefirst place.
God bless capitalism. Seems so easy to take shortcuts and screw consumers out of stuff, then promise them a bone at high markup when they haven’t even finishedthemain meal.

Don’t be fooled by the “DLC” tag. Would be willing to guarantee that the content is already on the disc and allyour £5 is doing is buying an unlock code.
MrTwP
I actually like dlc when the games just coming out, or just before. If it’s a good game, for example mafia 2, I’ve got platinum… The only reason why I haven’t traded it in is because of the dlc announced.
maneorix
Some pretty awesome cars there. But seems rather odd not to have them included in the game. I love when I can unlock special cars, and go oooh – awesome!
Also rather close to the release date, actually the same I guess. Hmm, not sure about this one..
ScottW-1976
Just watched the trailer for this and looks awful.
Graphics aren’t even on a par with the original Dirt and are a long way off Dirt2. Looks like a product that has been rushed out to beat GT5 to the shelves and try to make a few quid in the process out of rally fans who felt let down by Dirt2.
The fact that they think they can get away with charging another £5 on launch day for some content that should have been freely available on the retail disc is laughable.
Give it a month and you’ll be able to pick up the full game for not much more than £5 I reckon.

Group B cars but no Audi quattro?
ScottW-1976
That’ll be in “DLC” Pack 2 which will probably be released on the 15th October. Another £5 please…….
Jokers.

The game needs these cars. At the moment it’s mainly Fords and Citroens taking part in WRC, apart from a few privateers.
tom_lord
Well, the game has all the Junior, Production & Super 2000 cars aswell as the WRC Ford’s & Citroens so that means Mitsubishis, Subarus, Renaults, Skodas and a few more. However, yes, in terms of the main WRC, just the Ford & Citroen’s and one old Subaru

Maybe they should think about dlc’ing some decent graphics. The game looks lame. Even if it does play ok there are too many better options coming.

This DLC situation is really getting out of hand now. I think this is quite disgusting, personally. I shall buy the game but not the DLC.
iAvernus
Agreed. There’s no reason not to put the cars on the disc but to make more money. How about releasing the cars and some new maps a few months from now. Greed is a hell of a thing.
freezebug2
It is a bit of a liberty that they are taking with the DLC situation, mind you no game is more to blame for this trend than the Tiger Woods golf series. The worst part of all of this though is that the game will be incomplete and require patches anyway….I’m still waiting for a patch to repair SBK-X which this team seem to have forgotten about.

regarding the graphical quality of the game, i found another video on gamesradar, and it doesnt look quite that bad…

You’re right, it looks SOOO MUCH better there. It’s unbelievable that they’d make the trailer look so bad :s

Looking forward to some Group B action, but the Citroën BX4 TC only raced a couple of times and was utter poo so it’s a really odd choice to say the least! Where’s the Metro 6RA (in DiRT 2) or the Group B Toyota’s & Nissan’s?!
