Killzone 3 Move Demonstration

One of the big positives regarding Sony’s PlayStation Move device over rival Microsoft’s Kinect technology is how existing franchises can be, relatively quickly and with limited pain, fitted to work with their new motion controller.

Whether or not people will actually play the likes of SOCOM 4 and Killzone 3 with the device remains to be seen, of course, but if you’re looking for an idea of what it’s really like to slaughter Helghast by simply pointing at them, look no further than this demonstration video.

Luckily the footage stars Guerrilla Games’ Senior Producer Steven Ter Heide, a man we’re sure knows a thing or two about stomping around Helghan with a glowing ball … thingy. We’re thinking the rest of us might need some time getting to grips with the new method.

Probably dying wantonly in the process as we do.

  1. Well it doesn’t look like we will be seeing any cheap plastic peripherals to wedge the controllers in and try and play it, doesn’t look like it would work very well. It would have been cool though to have a gun from Killzone as a peripheral. Will be interesting to see how this plays during online matches too.

  2. don’t get me wrong but it actually looks comfortable to play with the move

  3. Looks alright as someone said earlier, for a mess around on the 2nd playthrough. Though I would only buy Move if there were more games that are based on it rather than it being a secondary function and the DS3 will be better like KZ3. The only reason I’d want Move at the moment is Dead Space: Extraction, but one game just dosen’t cut it.

  4. Very nice!

Im gonna get me a Move (+ Nav) tomorrow with RUSE.
I’ll be looking forward to playing KZ3 with my Move…

It really looks like they implemented the right stuff and the talk about the settings of the Move sound really interesting.

  5. I will have move and will definitely get Killzone 3, so I will be testing the controls out at least, if not playing the through the game with it after dualshock.

  6. Looking very impressive indeed. Will wait to buy move untill 2011 i think, when all the big hitters come out.
