Child of Eden “Journey Project” Announced

Ubisoft have announced “The Journey Project“, a user-submitted photography drive where players of upcoming audio-visual game Child of Eden can help forge the ending of the game. Requesting gamers’ “favourite images of Earth,” the designers are looking for pictures of anything positive. Images like people smiling, beautiful landscapes, or the Trophy achieved pop-up pic.

Founder and Creative Director at Q-Entertainment, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, states:

“The theme of Child of Eden is ‘Hope and Happiness’ and I want players to experience happy feelings every time they play the game. I need your help to convey these positive emotions, so please send us pictures that give you good vibes so we can include them in the ending of the game.”

Child of Eden entails players charged with reproducing a human personality inside Eden, an archive that comprises of all of humanity’s memories. When a virus attacks Eden, you must battle to restore hope and peace.

Noted as a spiritual successor to cult classic Rez, Child of Eden is also Kinect compatible. Move support has been mooted but has yet to be confirmed.

The deadline for image submission is November, 20th.

  1. I could swear this was 360 exclusive… Or am I thinking of a similar game?

  2. One of the highlights of E3

With Move support not yet being confirmed, which is a shame because this looks one hell of game for Kinect, so lets hope they can get Move added, although as it has come late in the day it may not have the impact it would have if it had of been designed around Move like it has Kinect, depending on how they leverage it in.

    • i’d only get this game if it had move support. hell i’d buy move just to play it!

    • The game looked good, yeah, but using it with Kinect does not.

No reason it wouldn’t have Move support either, as they’re bound to realise the vast majority of their players will want a physical controller to use with it.

  3. I wonder if they’ll publish my photo of Jade Goody?

    • Before or after death? If it’s after then it will fit the criteria.

      • I felt a bit dirty laughing at that!
