Killzone 3 Beta This Month

I’m going to forgo all the fluff and nonsense.  Here’s the deal – a Killzone 3 Beta will be happening as of October 25th; to stand a chance of getting in you need to do the following:

“Step 1: Be(come) a Plus subscriber
With the exception of a handful of key media partners, access to the Killzone 3 Public Beta Trial is exclusive to PlayStation Plus subscribers. If you’re not enjoying the many benefits of Plus membership yet, now’s the time to sign up!

Step 2: Download the theme
On October 13th an exclusive Killzone 3 XMB Theme will hit the Plus section of the PlayStation Store. Only the first 10,000 PlayStation Plus subscribers to download this theme will receive access to the Public Beta Trial.

Step 3: Check your email
If you’re among the first 10,000 to download the Killzone 3 XMB Theme, you will receive an email on October 25th containing the Public Beta Trial promotion code and further instructions. The email will be sent to the address you registered as your PSN Sign-In ID, so make sure you’ve set your notification preferences to accept emails from SCEE.

Those of you who make it into the Public Beta Trial are expected to provide honest gameplay feedback, report bugs and glitches, and help test our network code in real-world scenarios. In short, we’re counting on you to help us improve Killzone 3! In return you’ll get a good taste of the multiplayer mode, including its brand-new ‘Operations’ game type, party system, and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.”

  1. Now, I don’t play KZ at all, but I’ve got PS+. So, do I try for the beta and give it away on here, or leave it and let someone else get it? I’ve got bugger all to do all day anyway, especially on a Wednesday because that’s the day the mother-in-law visits.

    • I’d say give it away on here, for the people that can’t get home early.

    • can i call first dibs on your beta key if you decide to give it away please, i dont get home from college till 7 so theres no way il get it in time :(

  4. Well this is a positive for Plus members but it will take speed.

    i am not interested in KZ3 so i wont bother with the beta, however i would love to see a LBP2 beta for plus members.

  5. Here’s hoping for single-player included in the beta. If its multiplayer only I don’t care, but I’ll happily take the theme ;)

  8. Damn it to hell! I don’t have Plus :( It is nice that those who do are getting some bang for their buck though! I mean, Killzone 3, wow!

  9. Gonna give betas a miss from now on, I’ve been in a few but I’m usually bored of the game by the time it releases, modnation was prolly the best example. I was all over the beta, but couldn’t be arsed with it by the time the full game released :-( same with battlefield loved the beta, didn’t even bother with full game!! Don’t know why TBH, is it just me?
