Last week we brought you the news that Epic’s iDevice project had finally been given the official name of ‘Infinity Blade’. The big question though was although the ‘Epic Citadel’ demo looked amazing, would an actual game running enemies and combat look as good? The answer seems to be a resounding yes. Suddenly the iDevice seems like a real contender, and if the gameplay can match the graphics we will have one very impressive game on our hands. Check out the trailer below.

Wow, that does look amazing. Played the demo (well, ran around) and saw the graphics were amazing. When they can get the graphics to that level, you’ve got little doubt they can produce awesome gameplay to go with it.

Looks great but I hurt my paws stabbing a glass screen for any length of time.

Now I would happy to get a port of that. Just depends on the depth of the game and not just a dungeon crawl and i’m sold on a PS3 port.

Is it not coming very soon ?
Dan Lee

I read on their site that it was due for release end of this month, might have had a delay since then but what a team eh ? Hasn’t even taken them that long to do !

I’ll bother to look at it when/if it is released on some other platform not belonging to this company.

Stunning!
Will help make the Unreal Engine 3 even more omni-present.
Can just imagin 3rd party devs using it now to make cross platform porting extremely easy, its a shame the Unreal Engine 3 performs so badly on the PS3 with lower frame-rates, lower levels of detail and no anti-aliasing support… how about a PS3 tweak to your engine as well Epic…please?
