Bodycount Delayed

It has been announced that Codemaster’s upcoming game ‘Bodycount’ has been delayed until early summer 2011 and Adrian Bolton, the general manager behind developer Codemasters Guildford, has left the company.

Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens had the following to say:

“The remit within Codemasters is not to compromise the quality of any content we publish. We’re not prepared to compromise the game.  In common with other software publishers, has that resulted in delays? It’s absolutely resulted in some delays.

People have a habit of reading into it, and two plus two becomes five, but we plan to publish the game in early summer next year and we’re not being any more specific than that because we’re not prepared to compromise on the quality.”

In terms of Bolton leaving, Cousens said:

“Someone will fill the void. I don’t see it as any threat to either the well-being of the product, the well-being of the studio or the well-being of the company. I don’t think it’s life threatening.”

  1. Now THAT’S how you delay a game! None of this Yamauchi-san apologetic nonsense.

“It’s delayed! What are you going to do about it?” *throws press release at journalists* *walks off*

  4. Would be surprised if it was completey original but shooting cloned humans is getting repetive.

Whats wrong with the endless starlights of space… Earth is finished, Russia is finished and America is finished destroying their endless struggle against different contitents….

      • I’m just playing too many sci/fi fantasy games… heh

  5. Well, development of this particular game does somewhat sound like it’s in complete crisis…

  6. The battle of the early 2011 ‘B’ FPSs (Bulletstorm, Brink, Breach, Bodycount…), suffers its first casualty…
