Media Molecule has announced the LittleBigPlanet 2 Collectors Edition, which will arrive packaged in a SteelBook case and a transparent outer sleeve which slides off to leave you with the iconic zip from Sackboy.
As well as the game and the ten bonus Move co-op levels featured in the standard edition you will also get five PSN avatars and seven brand new Sackboy costumes:

The Collectors Edition will ‘be available in different ways across Europe’ – in other words it’s going to be exclusive to a certain retailer in each country. Those who pre-order can also pick up a bonus costume in the shape of Jak, Daxter, Ratchet or Clank.

I personally hate steelbooks, so this is a no to me. Even if I did want it, I’d feel incredibly jaded by the lack of content.

The 7″ plushie is the only thing I’m really bothered bout not getting in our edition even though I have the one from there youtube giveaway ages ago.
This kind of thing always happens, and it is now with Assassins Creed brotherhood. europe get the Codex edition with more game content and different box and America get a range of special editions, non as large in size but one has a jack-in-the-box in it.

Wow, everyone is majorly pissed down on the EU blog. It’s still going to be a mind blowingly fantastic game regardless of the CE.
Gotta say I’d love a Muppets costume pack – if I could have an Animal costume I might even consider switching from my Iron Man costume for a bit :D
