Codemasters has released a developer diary for their upcoming dirt-fest ‘DiRT 3’. Whilst not revealing much in terms of new gameplay footage, they do take the time out to answer a number of questions regarding the game’s tracks, cars, and surface types. It sounds good, and we hope it can surpass its predecessor.

Not a lot of the actual game on show but the q&a is very interesting. I’m really looking forward to this game as DiRT 2 was one of my fave racing games. I hope they have managed to sort out the online side as DiRTnet always seemed to be down every other week when trying to play DiRT 2.

The only downside to Dirt2 was not enough rally stages. Glad to see there’s a lot more in Dirt3.

I’m so looking forward to this DiRT 2 was a lot of fun especially with the TSA Meets, was brilliant. I still got them and maybe if you guys don’t mind setting it up again on Dallenbach Stage =D

It was Dirt2 that got me into TSA meets. Now at least 90% of my online gaming is through these meets as they are much more fun than playing against randoms.

Sounds great! More of the good stuff, DiRT2 was good. But it just didn’t have enough Rally in it for my taste. This looks like it has everything I’ll be needing. Bring it on!

GT5 might have the looks but the Colin McRae and Dirt series have given me the most enjoyable racing experience on console. More proper rallying this time around will be very welcome.
