Some new gameplay videos of ‘Homefront’ have hit the Internet, showing you fighting back against the Korean invasion. The first video in particular creates quite an uncomfortable atmosphere as you are dragged onto a bus and witness someone being suffocated.

I suppose it makes sense to use images like those seen in the first clip, for a game like Homefront, it helps build the connection between the gamer and the scenario by giving you a clear indication of why you’re fighting – the whole idea that you’re in some kind of resistance against an evil occupying force, rather than just another guy with a gun in shooting generic soldiers in another FPS.

From the look of those gameplay videos, it looks like it plays EXACTLY like Call of Duty. I’m not implying that’s necessarily a bad thing though.

By that I mean it looks like the levels will have a fairly linear path through them & the enemies will be jumping in & out of cover every few seconds.
As I said above though, I’m not saying Call of Duty is bad (I’ve played practically every one of them apart from World at War), I’m just saying gameplay-wise this doesn’t look very original at the moment.

I thought that, very similar. Looks good though, but I have a feeling it won’t do brilliantly as it doesn’t seem to offer anything new in an already overcrowded FPS market.

It looks like the player has more weight than in CoD, which is a good thing. I reckon the game’s selling point will be how good it’s story turns out to be. Without that, many won’t probably see the appeal
