Ok so maybe the previous video of the PlayStation Phone was as clear as mud, but the same can’t be said for the new ones below. Coming from Engadget, they are crystal clear and show the phone in great detail. It may be on the fat side (possibly a few too many gingerbreads?) but the screen looks gorgeous, responsive, and the slide motion seems to be as smooth as silk. Suddenly my old phone seems a bit…pointless.

Dang. I just brought myself an X10 Mini a couple of months ago. If the spec on this is superb, and the games are outstanding, I GET!

I would rather have a PS phone than an iphone.

I just bought the N8, and this doesn’t seem to compare.
Literally, the ONLY feature that has me interested is the Playstation features.
However, I have a PSP, and if a PSP2 emerges, I will get that. Playstation has a proud history of being the best- not just for gaming but for media. CD, DVD, Blu-Ray all went down well in their games consoles. UMD not so much, and the PS3 has too many media features to count.
Looking at the physical phone, it must be overhauled if it wants to be considered the best, up there with the likes of iPhone 5 (which will more than likely be out) or the Nokia N8, Desire HD, Galaxy, etc.

It does look pretty tasty. Need to see what it is really does first. I think my contract ends in August, so may get it then. However I might look at something else, depending on how it compares to the inevitable PSP2.

i don’t know if i’d like that as the next psp, but as a new phone it looks pretty damn sweet.
looks to be a better gaming platform than the iphone with some actual buttons to press and a dpad, no analog though, which would have been nice.
no physical media would completely kill any interest in a psp 2 for me, games for phones that weigh in at a few quid are one thing, but paying the kind of prices sony charge for psp game downloads on the store? and i don’t buy the sony line that it’s just the publisher that has any say in the store price, not when they set the store price higher than the rrp, around the 30 quid mark lately, and prices on downloads are regularly more than store prices.
and one thing i really hate is the fact that you’re tied to a monopoly supplier, those are the reason i never bought a go, well that and the price of the machine and the way the controls are at the bottom with nothing to grip so it look like you have to bend your thumbs nearly double to use them.
thankfully i found a grip with battery for my psp so now it’s much more comfortable thanks to a couple of handles coming out, much like a dual shock, and i can play longer with the battery in the grip. :)

but white, the same as my psp, you hold the handles and your thumbs can be held straight, a much, much more comfortable position for gaming for any length of time, that reminds me, i might have to dig out my copy of katamari now i should be able to play it without thumb ache.
rant over. :)

This looked really sexy right until I saw it from the side. Fat phones are a no go for me. Guess my Desire will stay with me a little longer.
