Duke Nukem Forever – May 31st?

Not a lot to say about this other than Amazon.com have listed Duke Nukem Forever with a U.S. release date of May 31st 2011, a whole five months away. To quote the press release from back in September ‘All great things take time… a lot of time.’

The title was ‘complete’  back in September and just required some polish so that’s a hell of a lot of Mr. Sheen. However, we have already waited over ten years, what’s another five months between friends?

  1. They should have gone with an April 1st release date. That would have really messed with people’s heads. :P

    • That would have been brilliant.
Imagine, DNF for April 1st. Just how many would believe it?

    • They would have released it on April 1st had 3D Realms got around to finishing it. Mind you, May 31st of this year for DNF to FINALLY be released doesn’t sound too bad when you look at it.

  2. I wonder when’s Postal III coming.

    • There’s a Postal 3? *checks wikipedia* There is a Postal 3! Thank god!

    • Postal 3? Damn i missed 2 :(

  3. Mm, DNF: did not finish.

  4. so what if this game turns out to be utter shit???

    • then it will be the biggest fail in the history of shitty things, games and fails.

  5. It could be they’ve chosen that time to avoid clashing with another release.
I’m not expecting anything mind-blowing but video footage looked decent enough and having played all of the originals i’m probably going to get this out of some sense of nostalgia. That and Dukes wonderful personality :)

  6. Shame its not april 1st :\

  7. Is it just a coincidence that Duke Nukem Forever happened to rank at #31 on the TSA Top 100 of 2011?

  8. I don`t mind waiting another six months :D. Even if the game will be a pile of ****, there is always a place on my shelf for Duke :D
