Jonathan Coulton Making a Song for Portal 2

This was a triumph.
I’m making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS.
It’s hard to overstate my satisfaction.
Jonathan Coulton.
He wrote Still Alive, because he could.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

Anyway, look at me still talking when there’s news to write; Jonathan Coulton – the man who wrote ‘Still Alive’ for the masterpiece that is Portal – has made another song for the sequel. He has confirmed via twitter that the Portal 2 song is in his ‘pocket’. I have no idea whether that is a euphemism or not, but let’s just hope that it means the song is finished and that it’s as awesome as Still Alive was.

I’m glad that Valve has chosen to get Jonathan on board for Portal 2; he never fails to make us laugh with his songs. Valve obviously saw that Still Alive was the right way to end Portal and perhaps this new song will be the perfect way to end Portal 2? Now that GLaDOS is indeed still alive, should we expect the song ‘Still Still Alive’ at the end of Portal 2? Well, we’ll find out in April.
