PS3 iPlayer Usage Shows Impressive Figures

PS3 owners really do have a wealth of media features to choose from when booting up their machine. It has been revealed that the PS3 has helped boost the BBC iPlayer’s usage no end, with an impressive seven million show requests in December.  This has helped bump up the total iPlayer requests to 145 million; breaking all sorts of records, curing diseases, and locating the lost city of ‘Bob’ (probably…).

Have you used any of the ‘on-demand’ services for the PS3?

  1. I use BBC iplayer and 4OD alot and ITV player occasionally :) great addition to the PS3

  2. iPlayer gets a lot of use in our house. Have had a quick look at 4oD but didnt watch anything. As C4 repeats a lot of the programs I would watch I normally dont bother but the Beeb gets a lot more love online

  3. I use iPlayer quite often and ITV player has been used only once thus far.
As many people have noted, the quality of ITV player is negotiable compared to it’s BBC counterpart.

Can’t stand the newer style of vidzone, so I don’t use that any more. Mubi is, well, moobies.
Lovefilm’s okay, but the lack of anything new seems strange when you’re a paying customer. :x

  4. i use iplayer every now and then but id much prefer sky player.

  5. I use the i-player pretty often, plenty of decent docyewmentaries to catch up on. Not touched the itv player coz it’s sh*te!

  6. Use iPlayer a lot although it seems to suffer with buffering issues a lot, even though I have good bb speeds.

  7. Only used BBC i-player once, and that was when virgin was being a dick and hadn’t uploaded Dr Who onto Tv on Demand!

  8. Use Iplayer all the time! Its a great app. ITV and 4OD not so much.

  9. I use iplayer now and again, I think I have had a look at the ITV player and 4OD to see what they are like, but not actually watched a full program of anything through it.
