Hot on the heels of the PSN Store January Sale comes the regular midweek store update, this week sees the launch of PlayStation Move powered shooter Modern Combat: Domination. Joining the interestingly named FPS is a trial and unlock for Spare Parts and Costume Quest On Ice. Not forgetting of course all the usual special offers, Minis, PSOne Classics, other media and of course the whole host of add-on content that we’ve become accustomed to including a wealth of Mass Effect 2 add-ons on Friday.

  1. I’ll give Modern Combat: Domination a try.

    • Me too, need something Move powered, hopefully it piques my interest.

      • I’ve been playing the demo and it seems solid enough. However I can only get into SnD-type games.

      • I’m going for the trial first to and see what it’s like with move

    • tried it its not bad at all for the price. wont be buying just yet. did have to turn the sensitivity down though on the move. how did everyone else find it? also wondered if it controlled like MAG..

  3. Whatever happens I most certainly will not be mentioning Auditorium HD, a game with zero dialogue lost in translation somewhere.

    Gonna try all the trials obviously.

    also, I thoroughly recommend GTI Club+ in the sale, its not the best game ever made but its a real blast

    • I had heard GTI+ was a good game & am seriously considering it – There’s DLC for it as well isn’t there? Is it pricey (the DLC that is, i can see the game is now dirt cheap!)?

      • GTi+ is great fun.

      • Does it have local multiplayer? The arcade machines were a staple for me and my mates back in the day but it’s not the same over PSN.

      Delays aren’t always about dialogue. Sometimes, as in the case of SFII HD Remix, Angry Birds or several others, it’s about bugs. Unlike SCEA, SCEE actually have quality control standards and won’t allow the release of something if they consider it to be too buggy. It’s frustrating to get things weeks later than other places, but sometimes it’s worth waiting for if you’re getting a better, more stable game. It should be noted that the US version of Angry Birds still hasn’t had the patch that the EU version got (which is still buggy as it happens, just not as bad as the US version).

      • Auditorium HD isn’t reported as being buggy like SFII Remix was, it was just submitted later to SCEE, although plenty of time has been passed since then.

        The framework Sony operate causes these problems from time to time

      • According to Ross on the official blog last week it is going to be a while yet as they are having some problems with it.

    • Great recommendation! Its a steal at that price, It comes across as ‘cute’

  7. They need to rediesn the PS Store, there is to much content to fit on 16 squares, especially when 5 of them are used up every week by Mubi, Firstplay etc

  9. i know a few warhawk vets have been promoting the game on the january sales thread, but how many people are planning to buy it today? id prefer it if there was a few of us who started around the same time.

    • I was going to buy it today, but have seen it locally for £5… Still I should pick it up this week:-)

      • just seen all the dlc for 7.99 on the store as well so I might go down that route too. pm me when u get it

    • I will not be buying but that only because I have already got disk version. It only game everyone in my family has copy of all 6 of us.

      It one best On-Line games ever. It work very well. There so much to it. Warhawk is one of greats un-sung games that has ever graced to PS3.

      Any info on Warhawk sequel Starhawk?
