We were among those who lamented the, initially, relatively poor commercial success of the first Dead Space game. We knew it was brilliant and original so the fact that it didn’t sell as well as the multitude of sequels and re-hashes around at the time was a little disappointing, even though it seemed to have a “long tail” at retail.
So now we feel a little bit guilty for being so cheerful that the sequel has gone straight to the top of the UK all format charts. It’s an odd situation that the thing an imaginative, well made game needs to achieve top sales success is a sequel. There you have it though, perhaps we should celebrate Just Dance a little more, it manages to make it onto the chart with its sequel.

I have to say I didn’t think much of the DS2 demo, seemed like DLC of the first one. I did love the first one so I’ll pick it up when it goes down in price.
I do however think LBP2 should be kicking its ass :P

No great shakes there but I’m disappointed to hear Mass Effect 2 is down in 11th. Magnificent game.
