Capcom has finally released the first in game screenshots of DLC characters Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath from Marvel vs. Capcom 3. There’s plenty of delicious eye candy in these latest screens, although each character’s unique play style still remains a mystery.
It’s safe to assume that Shuma will remain largely the same as he was in MvC2. Classic moves like the Chaos Dimension can be seen in the screenshots, and it looks quite nice. Jill, on the other hand, is based on her acrobatic RE5 counterpart and is a very different character just by default.
Capcom’s Seth Killian stated in the past that Miss Valentine is the most re-imagined returning character on the roster. She might also be the fastest character in the game. Considering Chun-Li’s ridiculous speed increase after using the X-Factor ability, it’s hard to imagine anyone being quicker than that.
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 hits store shelves on February 15th in North America and on February 18th in Europe. Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath will be available 30 days after the launch of the game. If you purchase the Collector’s Edition, you’ll receive a voucher that unlocks both characters when that time comes.

Does anyone know if the giant sombrero-wearing cactus will be playable? I have not read or seen anything on him. He was made specifically for MvC2 and it would be a shame if he doesn’t make a return…

Let’s hope he shows up as DLC, not that I’m a big fan of him, but I find it amusing that people at Capcom thought “right, we’re gonna make a character for this over-the-top fighting game with marvel and street fighter characters… Let’s make a clishé mexican cactus!” At least they’ve got Deadpool, I love that son of a “insert synonym for female dog here”.
