Answering blog commenter psychobudgie’s query about Stacking appearing on the official PlayStation Plus site as free content for February, SCEE’s James Thorpe has responded, apparently confirming that Double Fine’s Russian doll inspired game is coming for Plus subscribers. He states:
Hi, yes, stacking is coming to Plus on the 9th of Feb.
Curiously, the list of content on the post in question has not been updated to reflect this addition, and we’re assuming “coming to Plus” means “free for Plusites” and not “discounted for Yellow Crossers.” After all, as the crazy parakeet mentions, it is in the free section. We’ll update this article if and when we find out more.

AWESOMENEWS! I’ve been looking forward to this game for a long time, and now I might be getting it for free?!

Fantastic, it was going to be the first PSN title I plumped up full price for since joining PS+ having fallen in love with the trailer.

Really looking forward to this, and it is a major justifying factor in my PS+ purchase!

Best PS+ there is well worth the money.

And there was me thinking this was a new system for plus members where you could stack your downloads from a new PSN user interface…
Grey_Ghost13
Your not the only one who thought that, it wasn’t until I saw the picture that a realised what it was for!

This may be the reason I have been waiting for to sign up to ps+.

If this is true, this is one great Plus month. I’ve had lots of advantages/pleasure from my Plus account, a lot more than I’ve had from some other Bluray titles I payed the same price for.

To repeat what I said in the forums; Sam and Max had already more than justified + for me, so this now is a welcome bonus.

I’m surprised they’re giving it away free. They usually give a discount on new games like this, rather than giving it away free.

So many interesting/good games out at the moment, so little time!
