Podcast: Episode 5

Has it really only been a month since we started doing these? It feels much longer (leave it, Lewis). We had to keep this week’s episode brief because Lewis has a social life and Kris double booked on our usual recording night so you’re only getting just under an hour of barely comprehensible gibberish from the three of us. Luckily, it’s an hour of good quality audio this week so hopefully we won’t offend your ears with anything other than the usual bad language and poor jokes.

Let’s see, what did we talk about this week? Well, Lewis seems to be following the recent career of Marky Mark Wahlberg a little too closely, Kris drinks wine alone in the pub and I disclose why I’m the most popular person on the bus.

We have the results (and another round) of Lewis’ bargain bin DVD quiz and another round of the great big movie quiz which I am, by the way, winning. Oh, and we discuss a few things about the bits in between the SuperBowl. It’s not really about sport is it?

This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.

If you’d like to hear anything specifically on the podcasts, or if you’d like to let us know how awesome (or not) we are then please leave comments here, reviews on iTunes and send email to podcasts[at]thesixthaxis.com. We answer as much as we can.

  1. Just finished listening to the podcast. Great, again – although a little short but as you’re busy this week that’s fine. Nice to see more talk about movies and comics (something I enjoy) this week too. Look forward to the next edition and some game talk from you guys. Keep the rather worrying comedy up as well – child drugs and buying 6 year old’s being my favourite, and most commemorative, piece of comedy this week. Great overall, as per :)

  2. Who is Boom and Boom and who is Pow?

    • I think that’s what Lewis calls his genitals.

      • LOL LOL :D

It is now. Sounds better than snap, crackle and pop

  3. Great podcast as usual guys. I hope you keep it up. ;-)

    • That, *ahem* is what she said.

      • wow what is it with everyone today wittiness (is that a word) has gone into overdrive, 2 posts by cb here and Jas-n had a crack on another article!
        ;)

      • Damn, I failed to see that one coming, that was a hard one. :P

  4. Great podcast and really funny. Loved the mini rant from cb regarding the SuperBowl halftime show. Snazzy and sensual.

  5. This podcast series is the best I’ve ever listened to (Even if if it is the first).
    Still haven’t listened to Episode 4 :D
Suppose I’ve atleast got something to keep me occupied at school tommorow.

  6. Much better podcast than last week’s. Timing was punchier (something we’re trying to get a handle on too) and there was zero break-up or drop-outs with voices, etc.

Content was/is always enjoyably to listen to. It’s refreshing to know that you all speak as much shite as the rest of us. :-)

    Top stuff, guys.

    • the timing is sometimes weird because Skype call quality is invariably a bit rubbish. I know I’ve had times when I’ve listened back to the edited podcast and thought I seemed quite rude because during recording I just didn’t hear someone saying something to me and I seemed to ignore them.
Unfortunately, until we can afford to all get together and do this in a room, we’re stuck with Skype.

  7. Just listened to it. Audio is so much better this time round guys.
Really enjoying this. Keep up the good work!

  8. So how much were the children bought for?

    • Currently, I pay £17.50 per child. I get wholesale prices though because of the repeat business :)
