A new version update for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is now available. The patch is only 23MBs and includes content for the upcoming Event Mode DLC. Not much is known about the new mode as of yet, but there will be at least 50 events to play through. According to Capcom, Event Mode will be released very soon and it’s free of charge.
Capcom also made some hidden tweaks to balance the game. Most importantly, Sentinel has been nerfed. The overpowered robot’s health has been dropped from 1.3 million to a little over 900k. That’s a pretty significant decrease.
A glitch involving Spencer and Haggar has been fixed as well. The bug was found not too long after the game’s release and allowed Spencer to freeze a character into the ground for a few seconds before the game corrects itself. It’s nice to see that Capcom removed it.
The fighting game community is still looking for additional changes and bug fixes. We’ll update this post if more are found.
Update: Here’s a video showing off the changes found so far in a side-by-side comparison. It’s worth noting that Akuma’s infinite combo has been removed from the game.
