RedLynx Announces ‘1000 Heroz’

Remember a while back we brought you a teaser for a game that supposedly lasts 1000 days? Well, we now have some more information, starting off with its name: 1000 Heroz.

“Every 24 hours, you will take control of a new hero and embark on a treasure hunt through history. In total, there will be 1000 heroes to guide, 1000 levels to explore and 1000 relics to gather. The previous levels remain playable, and you can go through them to gather gold and relics for your Hall of Records.”

The game is described as a mixture of platforming and racing, and will use the physics system from Trials HD. Check out the trailer below.

  1. I seem to remember this being subject to a bit of criticism when it was first announced but I’m pretty interested.
It’s not like I’d be obliged to play it every day and didn’t quite a large proportion of the gaming community kick up a fuss over Homefronts supposed 4 hours or whatever it was? Those numbers should more than appease naysayers.
Personally I don’t give a toss how long a game is as long as I’m entertained. One hour of brilliance is infinitely better than 20 hours of dross and vice-versa.

Loved Trials HD so should get right in to the physics side and is has charming looks which are always pretty endearing and more-ish.

    Terrible name though.

    • Not vice-versa. That would mean that 20 hours of dross was also better than one hour of brilliance.

      • Took some getting my head around but yeah, good point. I should have just written what I meant instead of being trying to be lazy and failing. Thank goodness it’s Friday.

  2. It sounds like an interesting idea but grind-tastic!

  3. looks interesting in theory, it just depends on how well it’s put into practice.

i mean, these 1000 heroes, will they play differently or will they just look different?
and 1000 levels sounds like a lot, but from that video they look kinda simplistic.

  4. I really like the idea but the gameplay looks rather weird.
