The PlayStation Network has been up and down for a good few hours, but it looks like it’s finally crashed properly.
Nobody knows why yet – at least, nobody outside of Sony, but gamers are being blessed with the error code 80710A06. Perhaps it’s all part of Valve’s Portal 2 ARG, and we’ve got to find GLaDOS to gain access.
Or perhaps someone accidentally knocked the plug out overnight.
Once we get an update, we’ll let you know what’s going on.

I can’t login to my UK, US and Japanese accounts, so its probably world wide. Not a good sign, I just hope for Sony’s sake its back up for the Easter Weekend, otherwise I’ll have to go to church.

Sames issues as everyone else here, Autologin not happening since all the Anonymous brou-haha, manual login usually works OK.
Took 20 minutes to sign in on Monday night after loads of attempts – was about to give up and it worked.
Last night Lovefilm refused to load too – Left it on the Loading Please Wait screen and forgot about it while I did something else. 1/2 hour later it was still ‘loading’…
I’m really hoping Steam hasn’t killed it, my Portal 2 should be arriving today!

I doubt it will be steam as it seems to be running along side psn, I’m thinking it’s those hackers ruining our service whilst they continue to bitch and more moan about Sony.

You guys are stressing about the psn being down but i have had no access to wifi for 3 weeks now as my router is broke and nothing other than the computer can actually go on the internet (which i find as a problem as i hate going on to the computer)

Same as most people at least until 2am this morning.
Auto sign in fails. Manual sign in works.
However, if I checked the auto sign-in box (to yes) when signing in manually it still failed.
Signing in manually with auto sign in unchecked was fine.
