Namco has officially announced Soul Calibur V. There’s not many details available at the moment but we do know it’s coming sometime in 2012. Most likely for the PS3 and Xbox 360.
It was announced at the end of last year that a new Soul Calibur was in development. It was obviously Soul Calibur V but it’s nice to know that it’s officially confirmed now. Unfortunately, it looks like we might have to wait until E3 for anything significant.
Update: According to the game’s producer, Daishi Odashima, Soul Calibur V takes place after the events of SCIV (obviously). The main character this time around is Patroklos, the son of Sophitia. A video of the teaser is now on YouTube but it doesn’t reveal much at all.
