According to a post on GAF (picked up by VG247) Activision are set to show the first proper trailer for their upcoming first person shooter threequel Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 next week.
The trailer will be shown during an NBA playoffs game (just like the first trailers for Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops did) next Monday, the 23rd of May, and will – presumably – be echoed around the internet immediately by the wonders of YouTube.
A teaser for the trailer (where all this information comes from) showing the date for the trailer was shown during an Oklahoma / Dallas basketball game during the advert break.
The game has already been spoiled and teased well before its release and is set to go up against the incredible looking Battlefield 3 later this year.

*sigh* People appear to complain aboutn then slightest shred of news for MW3 now that it’s out in the open. If you don’t want it, don’t buy it. Myself, I’ll won’t, as I’m tired of the series, so I’ll focus my attention on other games out in November, like Uncharted 3 or Skyrim.

wat id like to see in the next fps is.. 1.smart system from brink(not parkour just the smart system) 2.battle commander from homefeont. 3.destruction from bfbc 4.gun customization. 5perks from all games. 5 new perk system… would be nice to put as many perk you want.. however it takes xp from your kills. eg if you get 100xp for 1kill

stupid phone…. anyways 100xp for each kill if you have say ghost perk it will cost 10xp so a kill will be 90xp ghost pro say will be -15xp an so on… so you can equipt as many perks as you want at the cost of not getting much xp…. :) an done…

Thats last point there is quite an interesting concept, would be difficult to balance in game but if it was done well it could be a great addition

i think if done well it could work an maybe perks such as 2nd chance should at least be -30xp per kill… that way i wouldnt care as much getting killed ALOT by 2nd chancers as i know they are not getting much xp…

There are far too many overly negative comments on here in general regarding COD which is really dissapointing to see. TSA isnt a place to fight stupid (and very pathetic) fanboy arguments and if people can only comment like that then please dont comment at all. If you have a valid and constructive opinion which you are happy to discuss with what is a very open minded and pleasant community then by all means join in. It is just a shame that the fanboy (mostly COD haters) lurkers have to come out for articles such as this.

If you dont like Call of Duty, for whatever reason there is absolutely no need to keep re-hashing the same arguments, time after time on every single article that refers to the franchise. Your issues, whether they lie with Activision’s moral compass or with the quality of the game itself, have all been heard 1000 times before, on this website and countless others around the internet.
You have every right to your opinions and you have every right to not enjoy the franchise, but for goodness sake, let those of us who do enjoy it discuss it with each other, in peace, with maturity.

I bought a mate every copy of COD from 2 to MW2 every xmas, I dislike COD due to its frenetic nature its not a game for tactics its classic corridors and killbox’s, Counter-strike was my poison, but Battlefield is what it says on the tin (still play bfbc2 add me). Activision best be pulling something big out the bag, frostbite is a fantastic piece of tech and BF3 has been in production for a heck of a long time (5 years+), anticipation is killing me. Oh and karkand ftw!
