DiRT 3 DLC Outed

Looks like someone’s been downloading and testing out new expansions for DiRT 3, which releases tomorrow.

New trophies have been found and leaked (via Gamerzines) which list four new packs: “Mud and Guts Car Pack”, “Power and Glory Car Pack”, “Monte Carlo Track Pack”, and the “X Games Asia Track Pack”.

Each pack includes new cars and courses (and, of course Trophies and Achievements) although there’s no date (or official mention) for the packs as yet.

Our review of the game went live this morning.

  1. New trophies leaked!!! Don’t think so. Anybody who already has the game can just scroll though the trophy list and you’ll find the DLC trophies in plain site. Not exactly a leak.

    • Unless a trophy list released before a game, counts as a leak?

    • Additional cars were spotted in preview codes, with the option to purchase them from the store. On the Dirt 3 forums a dev responded by saying
      “From beginning of DiRT 3’s development we knew that given the time frame for producing the game that some of what we wanted to do would eventually form part of a DLC. Developing artwork is usually very early in the development process, this allows us time to review, seek licensor approval and what have you. Later on, discussions take place as to what would be the final line up for the main game and the DLC pack. The unfortunate side effect of this is that some of the DLC content has appeared in early promotional material.

      The car referenced in the image, the Ford Escort Mk2 is actually part of a special DLC that we’ll be talking about very soon and hope you all get behind it as a great addition to the game and the franchise.”

      So make what you like of that.

      • I am all for DLC, i have bought enough of it for various games but when it is already on the game disc that makes me sick. If there was space for it to be put on the game disc then it should be included in the game you buy not later unlocked with a key pretending to be the DLC.

  3. I saw the DLC trophies last week when looking at the main game trophies on this very site.

  4. Think ill pass on this game. Maybe get it when its cheap.
