PES 2012 Gameplay Trailer Released

A new trailer for this year’s Pro Evo Soccer has been released by Konami, packed full of in-game footage.

There’s what appears to be some men, kicking a ball around, with another man occasionally jumping to stop the aforementioned ball heading into some kind of net. I’m not gonna pretend I really understand or enjoy football, but I’m sure there are plenty of you out there who love this stuff. So good on you.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 will be released this autumn on PS3, 360, PC, Wii, PSP and – brilliantly – PS2, with mobile ports on the way too if last year’s release is anything to go by.

  1. I can’t agree with the comments that PES is still the superior game.

I was PES through and through until playing the monstrous 2008 version, I got 2009 in good faith, they begged me and I picked up 2010. Konami obviously played me.

I would have rather gouged my eyes out than play FIFA 3 years ago but having picked up FIFA 10 for cheap I never looked back. For me FIFA plays like a more robust version of PES5 and you’re finally rewarded for moving the ball and making space, you feel your goals have value – the main gameplay element I always used to love with PES.

Now with PES, it feels too light for my tastes. I’m 70% sure I’ll be buying FIFA this year too unless Seabass really means his cries of “No, really, it’s all fixed! Come back!!!”.
