Medieval Moves: Dead Man’s Quest Announced

Sony have just announced a brand new Move game. The title is made by the people who brought you Sports Champions and puts you in control of a bow and throwing-star wielding character who moves through levels (on rails) and must solve light puzzles to progress.

The gameplay seemed to work very much like the archery and frisbee throwing from Sports Champions but perhaps a little quicker. Puzzling seemed to revolve around hitting targets to trigger events that allow you to move through a level. We’re sure to hear more from the show floor later in the week.

  1. This’ll quench my thirst for Sorcery, looked a great game. Wanted a proper game for PS Move – I’ve not played one if there’s one out.

  2. This looked really cool, I’ll definetly be considering buying it. I liked how there was seamless change between weapons.

  3. really like the look of this.

  4. it’s on rails from what I saw, don’t really know why they don’t use the navi, plus, having all weapons on one controller with no tactile selection could get messy and hinder gameplay…plus it looks a little too easy.

    • it’s late (or early depending on how you look at it)…you said on rails already…need to go to sleep…that DJ was shocking.

  5. Sounds great :-)

  6. apparently it’s deadmund’s quest.

The story behind Medieval Moves involves the evil Sorcerer Morgrimm who has invaded Prince Edmund’s Castle and plots to take over the kingdom, raising an army of skeletons from beyond. While trying to stop Morgrimm, our hero, Prince Edmund is also turned into a skeleton! Now named “Deadmund”, he must fight to save his homeland and defeat Morgrimm and his minions to restore order to the kingdom.

anyway, it looks like this could have been a better game if they didn’t make it on rails.
and with move they didn’t have to make it an on rails game, that’s what the navigation controller is for.

i did like the way you draw an arrow for your bow though.

  7. Cool, the mechanic is certainly proven since the archery bit on Sports champs was top notch.

  8. I picked up the Move when it launched and to this day i have’nt picked up a single game for it. Maybe with a bit of look this might be good enough to buy but somehow i doubt it. Still waiting for Sorcery.

  9. I thought it looked pretty good actually.
