Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition Now Available

The DLC for Super Street Fighter IV is now available on Xbox Live for 1200 MS Points ($14.99/£11.99/€14.99). It should be available on PSN whenever the PlayStation Store updates. A disc based version of Super Street Fighter IV, which includes SSFIV and the DLC in one package, will be released on June 24th in Europe and on the 28th in North America ($39.99).

If you haven’t been keeping up with the news, Arcade includes 4 new characters: Yun, Yang, Evil Ryu, and Oni. The replay channel has also received an upgrade. The balance of the game has been shifted a bit in a controversial way. It will be interesting to see how the community reacts to these changes now that everyone has access to it now.

When you start SSFIV you’ll be prompted with a 670 MB+ free update. This will give you all of the content from AE to keep everyone with the same version online. You’ll need to purchase the DLC in order to actually use it. Although I’m on location at E3, I did get quite a bit of hands-on with the DLC. It’s pretty interesting. Definitely expect a review very soon.

  1. Any new trophies?

    • You know, that’s a good question. I just checked it on XBL. It does indeed have new achievements/trophies. They’re based around all the new editions.

  2. Evil ryu and karai are my gave characters. One box ticked.

  3. So if you only have SSFIV, can you still play those with SSFIVAE (phew, that’s a lot of letters!) online? Or would you need the update in order to do this?
