Most of Mortal Kombat’s upcoming DLC has been fully revealed on Xbox Live. As we previously reported, Kenshi, Rain, and an unknown kombatant will be making their way to the game very soon. Now we know when to expect them.
For the month of June, Mortal Kombat received Skarlet, classic costumes for Cyrax and Sektor, and the highly anticipated netcode patch. All of that is available right now on Xbox Live, and soon the PSN once the PlayStation Store updates in North America. You can read all about Skarlet and the infamous patch while you wait. It’s unknown when Europe will be getting the new content. We can only hope that it’s coming out this week.
In July, Kenshi and Rain will be added to the roster. Classic costumes for Smoke and Noob Saibot will also be available to download. In August, the mystery kombatant will be released and he/she will be accompanied by two more (unrevealed) classic skins.
Xbox 360 owners get a special discount if they purchase the Mortal Kombat Season Pass. Basically, you’re buying all the DLC for 1200 MS Points before it comes out and you’ll receive each add-on once it’s actually released. This offer is currently exclusive to XBL for some reason.
Check out the screenshots below to get a first look at the new DLC. Rain looks pretty awesome.

Love this season pass idea. Shame it’s not on PSN though.

This is actually a good way for developers to discourage people from trading the game in (at least before all the DLC is released) while still rewarding the fans/supporters. I hope more Devs/Publishers follow.

Is the season pass definitely not coming to the PSN? Seems an odd exclusivity deal.

Sweet. Looking forward to these new characters

So you get 4 characters and 8 costumes but then only a discount on future DLC not them included in the price?! What sort of discount? Is this the same deal with LA Noire? I was under the impression that once you bought the pass all future and past DLC would be included in the price…
