PSN Section 8: Prejudice Deploys On July 27th

After a three-month wait, PlayStation 3 gamers will now have the chance to drop into TimeGate’s sci-fi shooter sequel, Section 8: Prejudice. The delay was a decision made by the development studio in order to optimize Section 8 for Sony’s home console and has also allowed TimeGate to include bonus content in the form of two new multiplayer modes, Skirmish and Assault. The game will go on sale for £12.99 on July 27th with a discount expected for PlayStation Plus subscribers as well as the following limited offers:

  • For the first week, anyone who purchases Section 8: Prejudice on the PlayStation Network will receive the Blitz Armor Pack and Overdrive Map Pack for free! This includes two armor skins, early unlocks, and two additional multiplayer maps.
  • The first 1000 PlayStation Plus subscribers to purchase Section 8: Prejudice will receive the exclusive in-game Hunter Armor as well as a free copy of the original Section 8.

This time around, Section 8 isn’t just about competitive multiplayer carnage, a story-driven campaign is also included as well as a survival-type online co-op mode dubbed “Swarm.”

  1. I’m up for this, just hope it’s a vast improvement on its predecessor. Hopefully i’ll be one of the lucky 1,000. That’s alot of hoping. (felt sorry for this article, with 0 comments.)

  2. I think my problem along with many others is we NEED a demo in order to give a proper opinion on either this game or it’s predeccesor. I admit, it looks great, but I’m not one to usually stick my hand in my pocket and have to pull out a PSN card in order to purchase a game.

    • I think there was a demo for the original Section 8, but can’t be a 100% sure if it was also available for the PS3.

  3. Meant to be oodles of fun….
