This doesn’t get any easier. It’s always really difficult to remember what we talked about on a Thursday evening recording when it comes time to write up the Monday evening podcast release post.
I’m fairly sure I said some things about FIFA, PES and Football Manager and I know Lewis definitely talked about Hereafter because I still have the F**king Matt Damon song in my head. Kris and Lewis spent far too long quoting from some weird kids film about a lost fish (Finding Nemo) and we also had to struggle with Lewis’ continuing failure to know what LIMBO is and insist that he’s played it.
There is a special type of quiz, which TuffCub generously provided and the usual competition, still in its new earlier time slot. Oh, and there was only one entry in our Li’l Depressed Boy giveaway so we decided to give him extra stuff to say thank you for caring enough to enter. Let that be a lesson to you all.
This podcast features strong language, jokes in poor taste and adult themes, if you’re offended by that then we recommend that you don’t listen to it at all.
- As usual, you can grab the MP3 file here (right click to download).

I really wish I had the time to listen to these again :( … I’m about 8 behind and cant get through more than 20 minutes of these new ones before having to stop.
colossalblue
listen to them in pieces over days, that’s what I do with the loooong casts I listen to. I don’t know how we’d make it shorter without losing the fun.
Tuffcub
Shoot Kris.
Kevatron400
Whilst the podcast is being recorded, therefore keeping the spirit of fun intact.

That’s where I’m at
Yes I have limited time, but it’s more the fact that I think people are talking at me & I zone out after half an hour (no matter how entertaining, I really need to divide it into chunks it’s just the days keep on coming and my ‘to do’ pile only every increases.
MadJunkBoy

firstly, evil john travolta does not make a movie worth watching, ever hear of battlefield earth?
as for cloud gaming, i think it’ll take a new generation to embrace it, and i mean a human generation, not a console generation.
what i mean is a generation that grows up with games that are only available as downloads, so they can accept not getting a physical object when spending their money.
the current generations have somewhat embraced downloadable titles, but that’s still having some degree of ownership of what you’ve bought in that you’ve got a copy on your local machine.
i don’t think many people yet would be willing to have all their content only stored on some cloud service, i know i wouldn’t.
and i don’t think the network infrastructure is up to a fully cloud based gaming landscape.
if everybody who’s gaming now needed to stream HD video all the time, would the bandwidth be there for the millions of players?
just imagine how many users there are in the us, if they were all cloud gaming.
not just the bandwidth, but also the machines needed to run the games in their server centres.
and i think the whole cloud thing, as it relates to gaming, is led by short term thinking.
they’re thinking about taking away ownership of the games, but i don’t think they’ve really planned for what they’d do if everybody was cloud gaming.
will they have millions of machines to cater for all the players.
and the massive bandwidth they’ll need.
small scale it’s feasible, but i just don’t think it’d be practical for that to be the only option for gaming.
that’s without the concern of losing all your games whenever you lose network access.
i did the quiz.
i got 9.
does that mean i win? ^_^
colossalblue
9? Bah, it’s more difficult when Skype is crackling and you’ve got the intense pressure of the knowledge that a low score means Lewis sends his flying monkey hunters after you.
Also, I agree with your cloud gaming comments. It’s coming though, as soon as they can work out a way to make it as profitable. It cuts out the wages for those pesky manufacturing staff and 99% of the retail staff you have to pay, so publishers will chase it and the higher yield it offers, if possible.
