Valve make great games, that’s a fact, but they also tend to employ some brilliant voice acting to round off each game too.
Case in point: Ellen McLain, who might well be most famous for the amazing work on Portal’s GLaDOS but she’s also worked on Half Life 2 and Team Fortress 2.
McLain’s heading back to the developer, though. In a Tweet today her husband teased that she was “going in Tuesday for a new game and more Portal work” which has got tongues wagging furiously.
Is this purely for the planned Portal 2 expansion, or something else? What could that “new game” be? Half Life Episode 3?

Well by writing a new game AND more Portal work would give the impression that there is a new game not just an expansion. My guess is the Half Life game.

I didn’t think valve did 3’s!!

Every time I see the words “Half Life” near a number “3” I get a little bit less inclined to stamp on kittens.
So, don’t do it for me, Valve. Do it for the kittens.

Whatever she is recording, it will definitely result in a “YAY!” from me.

Doesn’t really matter what it is. It will be brilliant and I will send a blank check to Valve for their work. :D

I don’t care what it is she’s doing a voice for. I’m just happy valve are making another game. Valve = Awesome games.
