After yesterday’s tease, it looks like the Cut The Rope sequel will be out tonight / tomorrow, and dubbed “Experiments”.
“What on earth is Om Nom?!” starts the press release. “That same question has a mad (but not bad) scientist studying the little creature that mysteriously arrived outside his house. Intrigued by Om Nom’s insatiable appetite for sweets, the Professor puts him through a series of experiments in this all-new game, a follow-up to one of the most original and fun-filled games on the App Store.”
Sounds good, right? There’s 75 new levels (across 3 level packs), new music, new animations and of course, a new characters – the Professor, who adds “colourful commentary” in response to gameplay achievements.
We’ll be back with a review as soon as possible.

From the screen shots it looks like just a *slight* evolution of Cut the Rope. Rather than releasing new levels for the original game (which makes them little money), make a ‘new’ game and make even more money.

The original game’s totally packed now, for 69p you got an amazing amount of levels. It’s totally fair that this is a new game.

I finished Cut the Rope in a few hours (£1.19 on iPad), plus bought it late so I suppose I’ve not seen the added value of new levels being added over time. I guess I can’t complain too much, can finish a few PS3 titles in a similar time for 20x the cost!

Totally agree with nofi. Totally.
Totally. :-P

It still says “More coming soon!” after the last box so I guess they will still bring more updates just like Angry Birds is still getting updates even after Rio was released.

Also in iOS news, Shift 2 Unleashed releases tonight as well.

Awesome! Cut the Rope is by far the best game on my iPhone. Looking forward to this :)

Cut the Rope was good, but my experience of it seems to be less enjoyable than many other peoples. It was an above average game for iOS but only because 95% of the stuff I play on the iPhone is usually pretty poor.
Best experience of a game on iOS is Plants vs Zombies its totally unbeatable and Ive completed it about 10 times, I hope Pop Cap release a sequel to this

See, I’m the other way around. I get bored from tower defense games very, very easily. Played PvZ once and couldn’t understand the fuss about it since to me it felt like any other TD game out there. Opinions differ. It’s natural. :)

Great news, the first one is still one of my favourite games on IOS, the new additions for the sequel look great too. Will definitely be getting this tommorow.
Smallville2106
This is great news. Thought it was going to be a few weeks before we saw it release so this is fab.

I may get this when i eventaully get a new phone to replace my brick of a phone. I hate putting coal in it just to make a call. I wonder if it will outsell it’s predeccessor? I wish my phone wasn’t a pile of steaming lettuce as i may have gotten it on release.
