SCEE Published PS3 Games Offline Tomorrow For Maintenance

Just had a bulletin in from Sony’s European Community Moderator team – there’s maintenance on the PlayStation Network for SCEE published games tomorrow.

The downtime, reasons for which aren’t explained, will run from half past five in the morning until half past ten.  It’s apparently for all SCEE titles, and thus will include Killzone 3, Uncharted 2 etc.

“Please note for the duration of this period SCEE titles only will not be available online,” says the post, “and there may be additional downtime after for testing purposes.”

You’ll still be able to sign into the PSN and play any game not published by Sony themselves.

Most odd.

  1. its for Sony’s PSN Pass thing surely

  2. More maintenance, Oh well, not many Sony Published games I play anyway.

  3. It’ll be connected to the new online pass. Resistance 3. Thats my call.

  4. Bang goes my Breakfast TSA game meet I was planning tomorrow.

  5. Is it not possible for Sony to test whatever they wish, without Maintainances, because if they got that, I might just totally fall in love with them. :P

  6. SCEE are not doing maintance at 5pm onwards?:o tis unheard of. The apocalyse is surely upon us.:p

I bet that it is for the Sony Pass as i don’t think every publisher wants to patch in the code for the pass to work and would probably throw a pie at Sony. I would be suprised if it was cross game chat that was the reason for this. I’m curious but it doesn’t affect me as i plan on having a massive liein so it should be done by the time i get up unless they run on Valve time.

  7. my guess is they’re testing the new playstation online pass thingy…

  8. It seems that the majority believe it’s related to the Online pass thingy, which does seem reasonably likely.

  9. Maybe SCEE games share the same server farm which requires maintenance???
