Sony: PSN ‘More Secure’ Than Ever

Sony CEO, Howard Stringer, has made a short speech at the IFA Electronics Show in Berlin. Making reference to the Japanese earthquake, PSN hack and London riots, Stringer said  “Sony have been flooded, we’ve been flattened, we’ve been hacked, we’ve been singed [but] the summer of our discontent is behind us.”

Regarding the PSN Hack, Stringer continued,

I’m pleased to tell you that the PSN is more secure and better than ever. We are aggressively expanding its content. We have more than 3 million new customers since the network came back online, and sales are exceeding what we had before the cyber attacks.

Stringer also highlighted Sony’s “holistic” approach which brings together music, film, gaming and hardware and backed he Android operating system in the battle against Apple.

  1. Well that’s good, but PSN is actually not fully up again! https://store.playstation.com/login.gvm is STILL down, which is effing ridiculous!

  2. Awesome news.

  3. No way I’m going to input my CC details in PSN ever again. Since the PSN fiasco, I’ve switched to prepaid cards and found them perfectly suited to my modest needs.

  4. PSn was hacked?!?!?!?! Sarcasm.
