First Vita Footage for F1 2011

With the console version of F1 2011 due out soon, Codemasters has released the first footage of the game running on the PS Vita. Clearly marked as a “work in progress”, it still looks good and will have all the teams, drivers and tracks from the 2011 season.

  2. I’m not sure which footage you are watching Dan but in my opinion the video in the article looks like a PSP game. With most other Vita titles having visuals similar to the PS3, this is a quite a let down. Let’s hope it improves dramatically closer to release.

    • totally agree! every game i have seen so far for the Vita the visuals have looked great but i thought this was a let down

      • There doesnt appear to be any textures on the half the polygons. It does look very PSP at the moment.

    • It looks better than PSP, but not that much. They do need to work on the graphics.

    • This looks very disappointing. Could easily pass as a PSP game.

      • So much for PS3 graphics.
        Thank god the rest of the vita games aren’t this bad!

  4. hmm the cars dont look that great and the steering wheels look to small, hopfuly it will be improved before release

    • That ironically is the problem with F1 2009 I guess, I just hope they get the handling right for each system.

  5. That looks absolutely awful in my opinion. Textures are horrible, there is a serious amount of aliasing and the cars look like they’re just skating on the ground. Doesn’t look like there’s any traction.

  6. That’s the ugliest Vita game I’ve seen. Really hope that is a /very/ early build.
    Also, for the time it gets released over here, that will be around the start of the new 2012 season. Who would pay full retail price for a game that is realistically a year old?

  8. I watched that before reading the comments and I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks it looks dog ugly! The 2009 PSP game wasn’t that great handling wise either. At least the Console version looks solid

  9. I actually thought that looked pretty good for a handheld game! Guess I need to look at other Vita footage then lol..

    • Same & that’s at 240p (ps3 browser max.) Hides in corner of the room.

  10. If you can share data with the PS3 version I would consider it, if not I’ll stick with it’s bigger brother.
